Information about Ibiza
Ibiza, off the coast of Spain, is one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean that blends an electrifying nightlife with a stunning landscape and rich history. While the Balearic island is famous for its world-class clubs and golden beaches, it also offers charming old towns, scenic coastal trails, and a laid-back island atmosphere that keeps visitors coming back.
There is plenty to see and do in Ibiza, but some of its greatest highlights are the UNESCO-listed old town of Dalt Vila, the ancient Phoenician ruins of Sa Caleta, and the breathtaking views from the historic Es Savinar watchtower. Nature and adrenaline enthusiasts will find hidden coves with crystal-clear waters to explore, rugged cliffs perfect for hiking, and even peaceful retreats in Ibiza’s quieter northern region.
For a taste of local life, visit the island’s traditional markets, try bullit de peix (one of Ibiza’s traditional dishes, a fish stew served with alioli) at a beachside chiringuito, or catch an unforgettable sunset at Cala Comte.

Ibiza ports
On the island of Ibiza, there are 2 ports: the main port of Ibiza Town, located on the southeast coast, and the port of San Antonio on the southwest coast.
Do ferries arrive in Ibiza Town or San Antonio?
All regular ferry routes to and from Ibiza operate through the port of Ibiza Town (Eivissa). This is the island’s main passenger port and the only one handling ferry connections with mainland Spain and the other Balearic Islands.
The port of San Antonio is mainly used for local traffic, leisure boats and excursions, but no commercial ferries depart from or arrive there.
The port of Ibiza Town is about 1.5 km from the city centre and just a 10-min drive from the airport. As the largest and busiest port on the island, it’s surrounded by shops, restaurants, cafés and hotels, ideal if you’re catching an early or late ferry.
You’ll also find vehicle rental offices right at the port, perfect for exploring the island at your own pace, as well as taxi ranks and local buses connecting you with the main resorts and beaches.
If you’re travelling with your own car or motorbike, the port’s direct access to the island’s main road network makes getting around easy from the moment you disembark.
