Information about Menorca
Menorca, the lesser-known gem of the Balearic Islands, is a haven for nature lovers and those seeking a relaxed Mediterranean escape. Unlike its livelier neighbors, Menorca has managed to preserve its unspoiled landscapes, secluded beaches and charming villages, earning its designation as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
The island boasts some of the most stunning beaches in the Mediterranean, including Cala Mitjana and Cala Turqueta - pristine coves with crystal-clear waters, perfect for swimming and relaxation. History lovers can explore the archaeological site of Torre d'en Galmés, the fortress of La Mola and many other cultural gems.
Beyond relaxation, Menorca offers plenty of outdoor adventures, from hiking the scenic Camí de Cavalls coastal trail to kayaking through hidden caves and snorkeling in crystal-clear waters. For a taste of local culture, stroll through the traditional markets of Ciutadella, savor fresh seafood at a beachside restaurant or unwind with a spectacular sunset over the rugged coastline, best enjoyed from the Cavalleria lighthouse.
