Where to take the ferry from Palermo to Genoa

GNV ferries to Genoa usually depart from the Molo Santa Lucia, in the port of Palermo.

The port is located in the heart of Sicily's capital, around 30 min on foot from the popular Piazza Pretoria. 

How to get to the port of Palermo

You can easily reach the port of Palermo by car, train or bus. From Piazza Cairoli, you can catch several buses and arrive there in 20-30 min.

The port of Palermo is around from Punta Raisi Airport, and you can easily reach it by train in approximately 1 hr. From the Palermo Centrale railway station, you can catch buses 101, 102 or 107 and arrive at the port in 20 min.

If you travel by car from Messina or Catania, you need to take the “Porto” exit. If you are reaching Palermo from the Trapani area, you can take the exit at the junction Via Belgio which leads to the entrance to the port.

Where do ferries arrive in Genoa?

Ferries from Palermo usually arrive at the Ponte Biagio Assereto ferry terminal in Genoa's port.

The city's central station is about a 20-minute walk from the port. The area offers restaurants, hotels, and private parking.
