  • With Trasmed, each passenger is entitled up to 30 kg of luggage.
  • On the ferries of Baleària, there are no limitations on the amount of luggage per passenger, as long as you can handle it on your own. There are also open luggage trunks in the passenger lounges for storing your items.
  • Corsica Ferries allows passengers to carry 1 hand luggage item for free with a maximum size of 200x100x50 cm.
  • With Menorca Lines, foot passengers can carry up to 20 kg of baggage.

Where to take the ferry from Mallorca to Menorca

Wondering how to get from Mallorca to Menorca? Mallorca has 2 ports: the port of the capital Palma de Mallorca and the port of Alcúdia.

Usually, both ports of Mallorca serve ferry crossings to Menorca, but the most frequest and fastest trip is from the port of Alcúdia to the port of Ciutadella in Menorca. Alternatively, the Palma to Menorca ferry travels occasionally to the port of Mahón in Menorca and the trip takes about 5.5 hr.

The two ports of Mallorca are connected by regular train and bus services, with the trip lasting approximately 1 hr.

Where does the ferry arrive in Menorca?

There are 2 ports on Menorca where ferries from Mallorca arrive: Ciutadella, which is located on the west coast of Menorca, and Mahón (also known as Maó), on the eastern side of the island. 

Both ports are well-equipped, with many cafés, restaurants, shops and useful tourist services nearby. A regular bus service connects the two cities, which are about 45 km apart.
