There is no direct ferry connection between La Graciosa and Gran Canaria, however it is possible to travel between the islands with a stop in Lanzarote. Here’s how you do it:

  • First, you need to board the ferry from La Graciosa to Lanzarote. This ferry will take you to Órzola, a port town on the northern end of the island. The trip lasts around 30 min and the earliest ferry usually sets sail around 07:00, with over 20 daily crossings.
  • From Órzola, you will then need to travel about 35 km to Arrecife, the capital city of Lanzarote. The journey usually takes around 30 min by car or taxi and about 1 hr by public transport. You can get the 09 bus from the Muelle De Orzola station, near the port.
  • Once you reach the port of Arrecife, you can then continue your journey on the Lanzarote - Gran Canaria ferry. There is usually 1 daily crossing and it takes around 6 hr to cover the distance between the islands. Departures are often scheduled at 11:00, but on some days the ferry leaves later in the day, at 17:00.

  • On Biosfera Express ferries, there is no weight limit for luggage. You can also carry your sports equipment on board without charge.
  • When traveling with Líneas Romero, you are allowed up to 20 kg of carry-on luggage, free of charge.
  • Naviera Armas allows you up to 4 items of luggage with a maximum combined weight of 60 kg. The ferry company also offers trolleys to transport your baggage.

Traveling with pets

Pets are allowed on ferries for both legs of the journey from La Graciosa - Gran Canaria via Lanzarote, provided you include them in your bookings. Depending on the ferry company, you may have the option of bringing your four-legged pet with you in a carrier or on a lead, as well as booking a pet-friendly cabin or a place in the kennels.
