Here are some useful tips for your ferry trip from Sifnos to Piraeus:

• The port of Sifnos can get a busy, especially over the summer high season, so it’s best to be there at least 1 hour before your ferry is scheduled to depart.
• While the journey is relatively short, the sea can get bit choppy, so if you are prone to seasickness, consider taking motion sickness medication before the trip.
• Greek ferries can get a bit chilly inside, even during the summer! Bring along a light jacket or sweater for a more comfortable journey.

Where to take the ferry from Sifnos to Piraeus

Ferries to Piraeus set sail from the main port of Sifnos, which is in Kamares. The seaside village is about a 10-minute drive from the capital town of Apollonia. 

Around the port, you will find cafés, restaurants and shops, as well as many traveler amenities, such as hotels, car rentals, taxis, a playground, and parking spaces.

Where does the ferry arrive in Piraeus?

Ferries from Sifnos normally arrive at port gates E6, E7, E9, and E10 in Piraeus, near Athens. The port of Piraeus is about 15 km south of the city center of Athens and 45 km from Athens International Airport Eleftherios Venizelos. 

You can easily travel to the city center and airport by car, taxi, as well as public transport, including metro, bus and suburban railway.
