Where to take the ferry from Sarandë to Corfu

Ferries to Corfu set sail from the main port of Sarandë, located on the city’s waterfront and just a short walk from the center. The port area is compact and easy to navigate, making it convenient for travelers staying in town.

Around the terminal you’ll find cafés, restaurants, bars, banks, ATMs, shops, hotels, and car rental agencies. Ticket offices and check-in counters are located directly at the port.

How to get to the port of Sarandë

You can easily get to the port on foot, in about 10-15 min from most hotels in central Sarandë. If you are staying outside the city center or carrying luggage, you can also get a taxi there in just a few min. It is also possible to get there by car, but parking near the port is rather limited, especially during the summer.

Where does the ferry arrive in Corfu?

Ferries from Sarandë dock at the main port of Corfu, located about 2 km from Corfu Town (Kerkyra). From the port, you can easily reach the UNESCO-listed Old Town by taxi or bus in 5-10 min, or 20-25 min on foot.

In and around the port area, you'll find cafés, restaurants, and shops, as well as car and scooter rental agencies, taxis and bus stops, and luggage storage services.

When to book Sarandë - Corfu ferry tickets

The Sarandë - Corfu ferry route is very popular, especially in the summer when it’s used by both tourists and locals. In the high season, which runs from June to late September, you should book at least 2-3 weeks in advance, especially for morning crossings to Corfu and late-afternoon returns to Sarandë. These are typically the first to sell out.

When traveling in the shoulder months, namely April-May and October, booking a few days to a week ahead is usually enough, though the ferries can still be busy on the weekends and around major holidays.

In the low season (November-March) ferries run less frequently, usually 1-2 a day, but demand is lower. In this period, booking a few days before travel is usually fine.
