Where to take the ferry from Crete to Naxos

The Crete - Naxos ferry departs from the port of Heraklion. It's located about 2 km from the center of the city, close to many shops, essential amenities, restaurants and city landmarks.

To get to the port and catch the ferry from Crete to Naxos, you can take a public bus, taxi or walk. The KTEL bus station of Heraklion, specifically, is located 700 m (10-min walk) from the port.

Where does the ferry arrive in Naxos?

The port of Naxos is located in Chora, on the western shores of the island. Just outside the port, you will find the island’s central KTEL bus station and a taxi rank. Along the promenade, you will also find many cafés, bars, and restaurants, as well as useful services, such as car rentals, hotels, and shops for any last-minute purchases. The ancient temple of Apollo, with the iconic Portara gate, is a 10-minute walk from the port.
