- Iraklia does not have public transportation since the island's distances are short and can be covered on foot. Alternatively, you can rent a scooter there or travel with your vehicle. Since the island does not have a gas station, it is best to fuel up before your trip to avoid running out of gas.
- If you are traveling by conventional ferry from Piraeus to Iraklia, we recommend booking a cabin, as the trip can take up to approximately 9 hours.
- Iraklia has few accommodation options, and most of them are located in Agios Georgios, the island’s port. Therefore, it is best to book your stay as early as possible.
- Iraklia is connected by ferry to other hidden gems of the Cyclades: Donousa, Schinoussa, and Koufonisia. This makes it an excellent choice if you’re considering island hopping in the Small Cyclades!

The port of Iraklia, Agios Georgios, is located in the picturesque settlement of the same name on the northern side of the island.
