Cecilia Payne: Baleària’s highspeed ferry to the Balearics
Starting 3 June 2022, ferry company Baleària is operating on the route from Barcelona to Mallorca and Menorca in the Balearics with an additional fast vessel: Cecilia Payne.
This means that the ferry company is now offering more frequent ferry connections to the Balearic Islands from mainland Spain, as ferry Hypatia de Alejandría continues operating on this route.
Fast ferry Cecilia Payne will be traveling from Barcelona to Menorca and Mallorca daily from June to mid-October 2022. Normally, the ferry departs at 16:30 from the port of Barcelona and reaches Menorca (Ciutadella) in just 3.5 hours and Mallorca (Alcúdia) in 5.5 hours. Conventional vessels may take up to 9 hours to reach the islands.
Ferry tickets to Mallorca from Barcelona with Baleària’s Cecilia Payne range from €60 to €120, while the ferry cost from Barcelona to Menorca starts at €65.
