The Port of Newcastle, also known as the Port of Tyne International Passenger Terminal, is located in North Shields, which is about 13 km east of Newcastle city centre.
Getting there is easy by car, taxi, or public transport: the terminal is close to the A19 and well-signposted, and there’s a Metro connection from Newcastle city centre to Northumberland Park, Percy Main or North Shields, followed by a short bus or taxi ride to the port.
