1. As with all of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote can get crowded over the winter months. Consider planning your trip in spring (March to May) or autumn (September to November) to enjoy the good weather without the crowds.
2. The ports can get busy, so try to get to the port at least 1 hour before departure, especially if you’re traveling with your vehicle.
3. One of the best ways to visit the Canary Islands from the Spanish mainland is by boat. The ferry trip will reward you with stunning ocean views and a unique travel experience. For a more comfortable journey, it is highly recommended that you book a cabin.
4. Lanzarote is an ideal base to start an island-hopping adventure in the Canary Islands! Trips to the other islands generally take as little as 25 minutes to around 6 hours, so make sure you pack your sunscreen if you plan on spending time above deck as the sun can be rather strong.
